TODAY'S BLOOD TEST RESULTS

Blood work for bilirubin came back good. No increase or evidence of anything that would need emergent hospitalization. The hemoglobin blood work for anemia was lower than it was on Feb. 9. PTL -
Doctor seems to think that the lethargicness is due to the constant vomiting and possible dihydration.

Dad's spirits seem a bit better this evening.

UPDATES ON THE GRANDPARENTS

On January 27 took dad to doctor. He was feeling very weak and had not been able to eat.
Blood pressure was high 190 - doctor wanted to admit him to hospital immediately. We went directly to ER. In ER tests were run (catscan, MRI, ultrasound) diagnosed as the gallbladder. At 10:30 on Wednesday evening he was provided a room. On Friday, January 29 they did surgery and removed his gall bladder.

Today, February 15, took dad back to doctor. Since last week he had started feeling nauaseous and gagging with pain in his upper stomach. He started vomiting bile and was not holding down much food. Not wanting to take him to the ER again I phoned the doctor's office last night and left a message. They called me this morning. He had three bowel movements this morning, still very weak. Blood pressure was 124 so it was not high, pulse was good and no temp. Doctor is taking blood test for liver - she is concerned because he looks yellow. She prescribed phenegran for the nausea and suggested two iron pills a day instead of one. I am giving him Ensure and will have him try 5-hour energy drink to see if it will boost his energy enough to make him feel a little better soon. They put in an urgent request on the blood work. If it comes back with low levels on the liver then doctor will want to admit him to the hospital. In the meantime, she is calling dad's gastro doctor, Dr. Pucha to see if there is something else we should look at. If blood work comes back okay (we do have the blood work from Feb. 9 to compare to - I had taken him to the doctor for a follow up on 2/9 for his surgery and he checked out okay) then we will need to go see Dr. Pucha for further evaluation.

The Gift of an Ordinary Day

To my daughters: A dear friend send me this video - Oh my...this brought tears and it doesn't help that I am a melancholy mood and missing my girls so much. I am in anticipation of the new chapter in our life with a grandbaby. I know this baby and those grandbabies yet to come will bring joy and smiles to grandma and grandpa.

Love you and proud of the women you are becoming.
